Duo Mark Wise
While Mark was staying in Germany in the early 90s, he and Hary discovered their musical mutuality. The powerful, souly voice of the Californian and his restlessly pushing Rhythm Guitar are the ideal complement to Hary's bright, expressive voice and his diverse Solo Guitar. Their incredible repertoire, which in spite of the minimal instrumentation covers nearly any stiles, made has made them for more than 15 years to an unrivaled duo, that is handed forward from party to party as secret tip.
After Hours in "Kulturfabrik Hauenstein" with Hary, Mark & Magu Lill
Own compositions and inventively arranged Oldie Classics from Blues, Rock, Country (by example from Bob Dylan, Ray Charles, Chuck Berry, Eric Clapton) and Jazz Standards by Gershwin, Nat King Cole or Jobim. The two experienced professional musicians' trademark is the enormous stilistic variety of their program. Be it contemplatively quiet, be it relaxedly swinging or be it restlessly pushing rock rhythm, the two musicians try to get anything viable out of their minimal instrumentation.
Mark Wise (voc, guit):
Born in Hollywood as son of a Walt Disney illustrator and raised in Los Angeles, Mark moved to the Hippies's Paradise San Francisco in the late 60s, where he wrote and recorded his songs for 20 years in the atmosphere of the Grateful Dead and other Legends. On his CD "Old Age Music" you can listen to America's most booked Mandolin virtuoso David Grisman and Jazz Saxophonist Larry Schneider (in the USA mentioned next to D. Sanborn and Gr. Washington).
