For more than 25 years Hary's most popular Band has been Real Bluesband, which offers a vast and extraordinarily distinguished spectrum of arrangements. This Band's high level has not been hidden, so that legends like for example Buddy Guy, Junior Wells and Katie Webster joined in to Hary de Ville's Band's Sessions.

In 1980, this Band was originally formed just for one night at music college Trossingen. Because of the extremely positive reactions one follow-up succeeded the other, and eventually led to a fixed concept of the Band. After that the Band toured for many years in Germany's South, in Switzerland and France and was guest in radio and TV,
"RBB im Dritten"
as well as at many large festivals together with famous Bands like Trio, Bap, Freddy Hubbard, Stan Getz, Dizzy Gillespie, B.B.King, Supercharge and many more. One of the festivals' highlights was the Open Air in Florac in Southern France, together with French Megastar Nino Ferrer ("Agatha", "Le Télephon") and a crowd of 7000.
Musicians in REAL BLUESBAND were (among others):
Daniel Messina - (Buenos Aires)
Used to be drummer with Europe's most famous organist Barbara Dennerlein and is one of Germany's best Latin Drummers. Leads his own Trio playing exclusively his own compositions.
Jan Pluta - (Polen) Poland's most prominent Pop & Fusion Drummer was on tour with the Scieranski Brothers all over the world. Since the 1980s Jan has been part of Poland's most successful Chart Band "Kombi", with whom he up to today collects number 1 hits and golden and platin records. A real superstar in Poland!
Daniel Messina - Jan Pluta - "Erbse Ebers"
Thilo Berg - today drummer in "Südwestdeutscher Rundfunk's" (SWR) Orchestra and Leader of his own Big Band.
Gil Kunkel - today drummer in famous Oldie Band "Dr. Quincy & the Lemonshakers"
Wolfi Würth - drummer on 2nd CD "The Puzzle". Before that professional musician for many years in different popular Bands (Crusade, Cora Terry). Unfortunately, Wolfi died. We keep him and his music in our memory.
Willi Renner - drums, popular name in the Southern German Jazz scene.
Peter Götzmann - professional drummer from Karlsruhe Area, who has made his mark in different crossover projects (HipHop, Jazz) and as teacher at Karlsruhe Pedagogic College.
Peter Talanow - drummer from Baar
Tom, Magu, Hary, Django, Ebbi, Wolfi
"Erbse" Ebers - big name in the South, top at the PA
"Magu" Lill - in my opinion the South's most groovy bassist and the Band's actual base. Because of his eclecticity and his knowhow he is irreplaceable for the Band.
Martin Müller - popular contrabassist from Switzerland.
Mark Wise - Songwriter, Singer & Guitarist, whose records were assisted by America's most famous Bluegrass mandolist David Grisman and saxophonist Larry Snyder (see also de Ville Duo)
"Blues" Bengs - has the Blues in his veins, plays a cool violin and sings great. Today he "privatizes" and is my five stars guru in questions about wine.
"Blues" Bengs - Frog or Panther?
Otto Bürgelin - multi talent (Piano, Pedalsteel, top Songwriter) from Lörrach
John Rosenberg (San Francisco) - Keyboarder, Singer (among others) with Santana, Phil Collins, Jerry Garcia (Greatful Dead), Richie Cole, Joan Baez, Huey Lewis, Bob Geldorf. Film composer and musician in films with Julia Roberts, Jeff Bridges, Martin Landau (20th Century Fox, Columbia, Disney).
Jürgen Waidele - there is no need to say a lot about him. One of the most successful and eclectic musicians in Germany's South.
Frieder Lang - today Professor for Jazz Piano at Basel Jazz School.
Tom Martin - saxophonist from Stuttgart (LE-Big Band, Pumping Special, and many more), who can play guitar and sing as well. Tom is the guarantee for a good spirit in the Band for his good mood and his - for a musician - outstanding social competence.
Belly Dancing Tom
"Django" Hödl - cool trombone from "Schwaben" and together with
"Ebbi" Gretzinger - irreplaceable part of the Band, in which they give a wicked show.
"The Spätzle Horns" Django - Tom - Ebbi
"Festus" Schmidt - professional saxophonist and head of his own sound studio in Berlin for years. Collaboration with Romy Haag, Achim Reichel and others.
Ralf Geißler - outstanding saxophonist, who is sadly seen on stage quite rarely.
Rachel Gould - the fantastic Jazz Singer (records with Chet Baker!!! among others) has sadly enough been with us for only a few concerts.
Anne Greene - black singer from New York, who was on tour with musical "Hair" for a long time.
Terry Silvester - black singer from the USA, who has lived in Germany for a long time.
Uschi Kopp - singer from the beginning on, who later studied classic violin.
Andreas Wäldele - THE German Jazz violinist (see also Swing & Czardas Ensemble)
